The story of the EO University goes back more than three decades, to our early founding years, when more than 100 members of the then Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (YEO) gathered in Cancun Mexico for the first regional ‘University’ event in 1993, hosted by California Closets founder Neil Balter.

The idea was to attract renowned business leaders and speakers with our community’s impressive energy and reach, creating the conditions for learning, connection and unforgettable fun to be shared.

Later that same year, a Canadian University took place in Banff, Alberta, helping entrench the EO University into the member experience. The first truly global EO University opened its doors from Hong Kong in 2001, with more than 400 members attending. The signature EO event has continued annually almost every year since.

While the word “University” may bring to mind college campuses or traditional classrooms, EO Universities are anything but conventional. Think of it as four unforgettable days of locally inspired excursions, events, and insightful learning sessions that are designed to spark your creativity and activate new ideas.

Off-site activities, such as our signature Learn Arounds, will immerse you in local businesses, giving you an authentic taste of the city and leaving you feeling enriched. Each day concludes with a memorable evening Social. After the sun sets, much of the magic of EO University unfolds—where connection, culture, and community truly come alive.

Who can attend?

EO Universities are exclusively offered to current EO member entrepreneurs from any chapters across the EO network.

Attendees may bring one guest to share the adventure with, whether a key executive, spouse, life partner or adult child (minimum age is 18 years old).
