Get ready – two exceptional learn-around experiences await you. One at the Maracanã and another at a top samba school.
No need to register for the Maracanã or Rio Grande Learn-Arounds: These two signature experiences are already included in your EO Rio University journey. All attendees will participate, and no separate registration is required.
Maracanã – Let’s Play!
Maracanã, officially called Estádio Mário Filho, was built serve as the flagship venue for the 1950 World Cup. Considered for most of the Brazilians as the “Temple of Football” and located in Rio de Janeiro, it has served as the stage for legendary matches.
During this tour, you will explore the stadium’s rich history and visit backstage areas like the players’ locker rooms. Step onto the pitch and experience the thrill of standing where football legends have played the beautiful game.
Learn the Business Side of Samba
Step inside Grande Rio, runner-up in Rio’s 2025 Carnival, and discover how samba is both big business and a driver of community transformation. From costume and float design for Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival, the school fuels job creation and local economic growth. Its youth wing, Pimpolhos da Grande Rio, operates as an educational non-governmental organization, teaching samba, sustainability, and the arts to children while uplifting families in Duque de Caxias.
