Rhodália Silvestre, born in Mbabane, Eswatini (Swaziland) in 1986 to Mozambican parents, showed musical talent from a very early age. Influenced by her father, Maestro Faustino António Chirute—one of the few African orchestral conductors trained in the former USSR and mentor of Majescoral (Maputo Jazz Espiritual Coral)—she grew up immersed in a rich blend of classical music, jazz, traditional and contemporary rhythms. This foundation, combined with her remarkable voice and creativity, has led her to perform across Southern Africa and collaborate with some of the continent’s most respected artists.
An award-winning Mozambican singer-songwriter, Rhodália has received major recognitions including the Ngoma Mozambique Revelation Award (2017) and Best Voice of Mozambique (2018 and again in 2022), as well as the Vodacom Vibratoques Prize.
